Crazy Hair Day

Oh, the things we mom's do for our children...

Prince K was so excited for "School Spirit Week" at school. Yesterday was crazy hat or hair day. Since the boys got their new haircuts over the weekend (yeah, I know, poor planning on my part), I had to think of something unique for really short boys hair. I first thought of shaving a path through his hair, making a pattern of some kind, but then though that would be a more semi-permanent solution than what we were looking for at the time. My next plan was to color his hair an odd color. I told Prince K to go choose which paint colors he wanted from the paint drawer (yes, all washable paints, I'm not that crazy). Much to my surprise he came out with an armload of colors and said he wanted to use them all. So first thing that morning, after everyone was dressed and fed, Prince K sat patiently on the bar stool in the kitchen while I went to work coloring his hair. It came out pretty nice, if I do say so myself!

I guess he was a big hit at school, and all the teachers wanted to know how I got such straight lines of paint. Must be my hidden talent or something. Prince K came home that afternoon with streaks of paint running down his forehead and cheeks though, as the sweat started washing out the paint since his Mama forgot it was PE day, too.
