Sand Pit

We decided to take a break from packing the other night after dinner, and I'm so glad we did!  The boys accidentally (or so they say!) lost their Frisbees on the roof, so they begged Hubby to take them up there with him to retrieve them.  All 3 boys were escorted up the ladder, one at a time, and happily explored the roof top.  Frisbees were saved, scenery was viewed, and kids were giggling.

After our roof exploration, we headed out to our favorite sand pit.  We are soaking up as much time there as possible now, knowing we will soon be moving.  Our boys have spent many, many hours running, digging, and exploring that sandpit... we will be sad to leave it!

Prince L pretends he is a superhero, punching holes into the "walls" (as he calls them) of sand.  He gladly posed for a picture!

Prince K usually plays more practical, realistic games himself.  He likes to build campfires, track animal footprints, and construct things with fallen logs.

Prince M pretends he is camping, and will roll around in the sand pretending he's sleeping.  He will find a favorite fallen log and hug it close as he prances around in the sand.  He was hard to get pictures of this particular day because he was always running in another direction!

The walk to and from the sand pit is always an adventure of it's own.  This time of year the path is full of mud, puddles, and worms - just what every boy needs!  Well, until your boot gets stuck and falls off that is!

Kickin' Around The House

I had to post a couple pictures of the kiddos playing around the house the last couple weeks.  We have been so busy packing up the house that I haven't taken as many photos as usual - but don't be fooled, 'cause our boys have been as busy as ever!

I love to listen to them playing, hearing the scenarios they work out in their minds.  They are so smart, and so in tune with the world.  I love their imagination, and their grasp on how things work.  And I love how busy they are!

T-Ball 2012

Prince L started t-ball a couple weeks ago.  He was so excited to start until he showed up at the field and saw how many kids were there to play, too!  He became instantly shy and clung to my leg.  Fortunately, Hubby was with us and able to "save" his little boy - he spent the entire first practice on the field, along with Prince L, playing t-ball.  By practice #2, Prince L had gained a lot of confidence and was playing nearly on his own (as long as he could see Daddy near by).

Prince L's first "game" was last weekend, and Hubby was away at drill... I almost didn't go, thinking it would be too difficult for me to stay on the field and watch his little brother at the same time... but I'm glad we went.  Prince L has finally gotten brave enough to do everything on his own, and got his first team shirt (#16).  I was so very proud of him.
Prince K and Prince M spend the entire time running around, or quietly coloring next to me.
I sure do love our boys!

32 Weeks - Preparing for Prince N!

I can't believe we are at 32 weeks already!  Prince N will be here before we know it.  We are getting ready to move out of our house in less than a week, and by the time we move into our new house we'll have another little baby on our hands!
I spent most of this week packing and washing clothes for Prince N, deciding what we will need in the early weeks before we are in our house.  I guess when you've already had 3 boys the amount of clothes just piles up... these are just the newborn size that he'll outgrow by 8lbs!  Ha!

Prince K, L, and M made paintings to hang over Prince N's crib in our new house.  I painted the backgrounds blue to match his bedding and furniture, and let the kiddos do the rest.  I love to see what they come up with!  We did the same thing before Prince M was born and it's one of my favorite pictures in his room.  I think it's a great way for the kids to bond with their brother before his arrival.

Keep cookin' in there, little baby, you're a couple months too little to be born still, but we're very excited to meet you when the time is finally here!
