It is not very often that you see our two oldest boys sitting still. Unless, that is, they are sitting in front of the
TV with a bowl of popcorn on their laps... and even then it only last a few minutes at the most.

So the other day I was amazed when I caught them both admiring the tulips that had just blossomed out front. Prince L was the first one to crouch down and smell the pretty flowers. So I reached for my camera. Before long, Prince K was also stopping to admire the flowers. I tried to get a good photo of Prince M doing the same, but he refused to sniff and insisted on eating them instead.

I cherish these moments every day as I see how quickly they grow. One day they will be all grown and married, and their wives will be begging them to dig trenches to plant bulbs in. When they protest I will remind them just how much they enjoyed the budding
tulips when they were small, and perhaps this will soften their hearts just enough to willingly dig those trenches.
