Sand Pit

We decided to take a break from packing the other night after dinner, and I'm so glad we did!  The boys accidentally (or so they say!) lost their Frisbees on the roof, so they begged Hubby to take them up there with him to retrieve them.  All 3 boys were escorted up the ladder, one at a time, and happily explored the roof top.  Frisbees were saved, scenery was viewed, and kids were giggling.

After our roof exploration, we headed out to our favorite sand pit.  We are soaking up as much time there as possible now, knowing we will soon be moving.  Our boys have spent many, many hours running, digging, and exploring that sandpit... we will be sad to leave it!

Prince L pretends he is a superhero, punching holes into the "walls" (as he calls them) of sand.  He gladly posed for a picture!

Prince K usually plays more practical, realistic games himself.  He likes to build campfires, track animal footprints, and construct things with fallen logs.

Prince M pretends he is camping, and will roll around in the sand pretending he's sleeping.  He will find a favorite fallen log and hug it close as he prances around in the sand.  He was hard to get pictures of this particular day because he was always running in another direction!

The walk to and from the sand pit is always an adventure of it's own.  This time of year the path is full of mud, puddles, and worms - just what every boy needs!  Well, until your boot gets stuck and falls off that is!
